KFC Delivery
The only fastfood I can really take is KFC. I love the chicken (or should I say the chicken breading and the gravy?) and it takes me back to those childhood days when I would force my parents to feed me fastfood. Luckily, my mom never believed in it back then and would do her best not to let me eat anything like it, and so the practice has rubbed on to me as I would now consider eating at a fastfood restaurant a form of deprivation. Not only is the food not nutritious, it’s also unimaginative.
But every now and then come those days when we have to eat fastfood. Our late impromptu meetings at school often merit dinner deliveries and the most convenient for us to call as well as the most agreeable to everyone is KFC as it found right in front of our school gates. The only problem with KFC’s home delivery is that there is always a snag as they have one of the most inefficient food delivery processes I know. Fine, they have a centralized delivery service. You only have to call one number and they will redirect your orders to the branch nearest your address. We have had several occassions when we would lose our order and only get it a couple of hours after when we no longer need nor want the food. Sometimes they’d blame us for having a complicated address, when you skirt through buildings inside a moderately large campus even if they said previously that they know where it is. What I hate the most is when they’d give these leaflets and banners listing down their supposed delivery menu only to say that they’ve stopped selling a particular product.
To complicate things, they have confusing menus. They say they stopped offering a particular product and yet the delivery guy hands you a menu where the same product is listed. They don’t offer the same menu they have on stores and yet they accept your orders when you ask for it only to tell you two or three hours later that the item you asked for is not available from the store where your order is processed. It’s also confusing as to whether they serve drinks or not. You ask for a 2-piece chicken meal (which chould include rice, gravy and a drink) but they’d give you the 2-piece chicken meal minus the drink even if you ask them if there is a drink. One delivery guy’s solution is to buy bottled softdrinks or juices in tetra packs which they readily supply for an additional price. There’s the catch. And only if you are willing to wait another hour for it. Another catch.
Then there are times when they forget things. They delivered the salad the next day after thirty minutes of talking to someone on the phone arguing about lost orders. One time, they forgot to include brownies. Another time, it was the utensils. Another time, our extra orders of gravy. The funny thing is that they still deliver it, only it comes at a time when it’s already pointless and when you would rather have them deliver your money instead.
The moral of the story: KFC delivery sucks and whoever is running the whole thing should have his ass slapped with a fine slathering of greasy gravy.

Isang branch lang ang involved sa delivery na 'yan o widespread chuva? Kalurki, kasi never pa naman nangyari 'yan sa delivery namin sa KFC.
Speaking of failed deliveries, one time nagpa-deliver ang family sa Shakey's. After 45 minutes, tumawag sila sinabing libre na ang pizza namin dahil male-late ang delivery. Fiesta!
stop complaining! at least you have delivery there - and you've got a smorgasbord of fastfood outlets! out here in the boonies i call vancouver, mostly only pizza places deliver and kfcs are few and far between. don't even get me started with the non-free gravy and the measly size of their chicken. haven't these canadians heard about "broiler chicken" yet?
Hindi lang yan isang branch, problem din namin yan both sa work ko sa Makati at sa inuuwian ko sa may Pasig. One time, two hours na kaming naghihintay wala pa ring food! Tumawag kami ulit tapos ng 15 minutes ng paghanap ng order e sinabihan ba naman kaming wala na daw silang ganung pagkain. E bakit kinuha ang order? Binagsakan ko nga ng telepono.
have the same problem with KFC deliveries. luckily there's a branch in front of the building where i live so i just run down there to eat. ordering for delivery is another matter.
Ha, I go there once a month when I have an appointment on a particular side of town, which I love NJ, because they do not have fast food on every corner like Dallas did, but I go for my bisquit and gravy fix!
I think I read someone talking about Shakey's Pizza, OMG, we had those when I was a young girl and I loved going for my once a year birthday card freebie, I would eat the whole small pizza by myself and then I was skinny as a bean pole!
Wag na mag-KFC, Jollibee Chicken Joy na lang!!!
